Combating Female Genital Mutilation Campaign
NWE org
teams are visiting women and girls inside Halabja and its surrounding villages
in order to raising women’s awareness about their rights, especially focusing
on the low number.08 which is the law of combating domestic violence, and also talking about
the bad negative impact of female genital mutilation and its harms from the
side of health, social and legal, this project is conducted by NWE organization
in Halabja governorate which is supported by General Consulate of the
Netherlands in Erbil and WADI organization.
The
activities of this project are:
1-
Conducting seminars for a group of women.
2-
Getting statistics about violence cases and female
genital mutilation.
3-
Providing them health awareness to protect themselves
from Corona virus disease.
The
project duration is 1.1/2021 to 31.12/2021.
